How do I use a second monitor beside my laptop?

Hi All

I am trying to attach a second monitor to my laptop. I am using a VGA nouns on my laptop and on the back of the TV as capably. This is the only method I can use (laptop doesnt enjoy s-video etc). Its a packard bell easynote laptop with 512mb run into and on windows xp.

I enjoy tried the TV and and lead beside a different laptop and both work fine (no driver was needed for this)

However, when I connect it to my laptop, when I press Fn+F5 (the knob to toggle monitors) it just make one short beep and doesnt do anything else.

My graphics card is VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro, and the driver edition I have installed is 6.14.10.211.

Surely my computer is fit of doing this, otherwise there would not be a VGA port on it?

Anyone get any ideas?

Answer:

Try a VGA splitter cable. This may single work if your graphics card is good satisfactory.
