How do you adjust the size of your home page to fit the eyeshade size of your monitor?

My Yahoo home page's font is larger than my monitor blind, thus I cannot view part of the pack of the page. I also have the problem of some of the sites that I pop in the words are squeezed together thus not being competent to read. Anyone with any direction on how to repair this I would sincerely appreciate your assistance.
