How do you fix contrast stratum from shifting on your monitor?

A small blue box appears on my monitor showing contrast height. Then it disappears and comes back but respectively time it does this, it starts to turn by contrast down to almost nothing. What is it specifically doing this? And, can it be fixed. If so, how?

Answer:

Your monitor probably has buttons on the front of it for controling the brightness and contrast, and it sounds approaching those buttons are starting to wear out and "push" themselves. You could take it to a computer shop and win it fixed (they can replace the buttons), but if it's an old monitor, you're probably better rotten getting a new one.
If you are using window XP, they have a great program, call "microsoft power toys" You can download them all, of late read them, and decide which ones, that you want..But, on the right appendage side of the page, the fourth one down, is called "clear type". If you install that program, on your computer, it will clear all of the manuscript, much clearer..I have be using it, for about two years very soon, and it is great..It really does make everything hugely clear..It is mostly recommened for a LCD monitor, but it does work, on a CRT monitor, to..It is not hard to install, a short time ago follow the directions, once you have downloaded it. Go to this website, to look them over..Good Luck..

nearpos is right. if your monitor is really mature, then the buttons tend to wear out and purely malfunction. My dad have an old tv once, and sometime when he turned it on, the volume went adjectives the way up, and fell put money on down over and over. Its just that your monitor's probably getting ancient. Instead of getting a repair, go beside a new monitor.
