buy a consumer reports book. they are so amazing because they rate all electionics and such and cars. I use it formerly i buy any large item.
reading customer reviews is the best item. the people who own them are going to be the ones who know how all right they work in a regular household environment.
renew rate- faster is better
contrast ratio- the higher the better(formula stands for the brightness stratum between white & black on the screen)
warranty--use a c.c. that doubles your warranty.
