How do I re-acquaint yourself with my LCD monitor to vote 85? My eyes hurt and I spend profoundly of time on the computer?

Answer:

If your monitor supports that energize rate you can.

Go to Start/settings/control panel.

Click on the Display icon.

Then the monitor tab, here you will see the options.
most lcd monitors can ONLY rejuvenate at 60hz. make sure yours is gifted of higher in the past you change the setting.
You should speak beside an eye doctor about this. It be common to adjust the energize rate for CRT's. If you're eyes are hurting try adjusting your resolution to sort the icons bigger.

Right-click on the Desktop

Click on Settings (Adjust resolution here)

Click on Advanced

Click on Monitor (Adjust energize rate here)

If the display does not support 85 Hz. The highest setting should be fine.

I consult on technology ergonomic issues at the university i work for and eye strain is a biggy in this day and age.
Taking a different approach: Problem is tired eyes, solution is bigger monitor with low dot pitch. Magazine writers agree that spending the most you can for GOOD aspect large peak (19" minimum) is best for your eyes. Audio experts similarly say put 2/3 of the money contained by the speakers. Most decent computer/audio technology today is close surrounded by quality. The difference is within what you look at 8-10 hours/day or listen to constantly. Save your eyes and move back a bit near big screen for the computer. Enjoy a full, audible breadth with 20Hz-20kHz flat response speakers.
