How do I set up my laptop to my televisio set the easiest path?

My laptop is a Dell inspiron 9400, and when I hook my laptop upto the T/v I dont want a fuzzy signal or within black/white I want a clear signal. Some help?

Answer:

There's more than one opening to do this.

1) If your laptop has a TV out port, capture the correct converter (S-Video to Composite or whatever you own and you're set, I assume this isn't the case next to you since you're asking online :) )

2) You need a Reciever specifically able to convert from one signal to another (a perfect quality Sony, Denon, Onkyo etc.). This method you can use the external monitor port going to the rciever "IN" port and the reciever will send the signal to your TV converted and properly formatted. (Most top-of-the strip recievers have a VGA or DVI port already, if they'll have HDMI. These can grasp quite expensive, since the cheap ones solitary route the signal - if you have an S-Video input, you acquire only S-Video output and so on...)

3) You necessitate one of these or something similar. http://shopping.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=au...

4) A lot of companies offer USB to TV products that you can buy online, try probing for one.

I use a reciever at home, but I already had that. Keep surrounded by mind that no matter what you use your picture will not be as verbs as the computer screen, but it's great for watching movies and showing presentations.

Your audio is easier, seize one of these (make doesn't matter, of late make sure it's long enough) and progress from your headphone jack to the audio-in of the TV or Reciever.
